UniPOS

Service

The customer's history should be on the screen before they finish saying hello.

UniPOS treats a service business as one: appointments and jobs rather than a shelf of products, with the customer, what was done for them and what they owe held together.

  • Appointments and scheduled starts
  • Service jobs
  • Customer history
  • Memberships (beta)

At the counter

Booked, done, billed — without three different books.

Service businesses lose money in the gaps between the diary, the job and the bill. UniPOS closes them.

  • Appointments

A scheduled start on the order, so a booking and the bill it becomes are the same record rather than two.

  • Service jobs

Work taken in, worked on and handed back, with its own reference so the customer can ask about it by name.

  • Your services as a catalogue

Priced services rather than stock — with the words your trade uses, not a shop's.

  • Customer records

Who they are, what has been done for them before, and what is still outstanding.

  • Memberships and loyalty Beta

Passes, packages and points. Working, still changing — treat it as a bonus rather than the reason you buy.

  • Products alongside services

The shampoo sold at the end of the appointment is on the same bill, with its own stock and its own tax.

  • Staff roles

Who may discount, who may refund, who may see the takings.

  • Day close and reports

The day's takings by service, by staff member and by payment method, closed against counted cash.

Questions

What service businesses ask us.

Is this a full appointment book?

It handles scheduled starts on orders and service jobs, which covers a counter that books as it bills. If you run a busy multi-chair diary with resource conflicts, tell us what you need at the demo — we will be straight with you about where UniPOS is today.

Can I sell products as well as services?

Yes, on the same bill, with stock tracked on the products and tax handled correctly on both.

Do memberships work?

They work, and they are in beta — still changing between releases. Buy UniPOS for the billing and the day close, and treat memberships as something that is getting better.

Can each staff member have their own login?

Yes, and staff logins are unlimited on every plan. Roles decide who may discount, refund or see the numbers.

Does it work without internet?

Billing does, completely. Anything that involves a guest's phone or another device — QR ordering, for example — needs a connection.
