One point of sale that knows what you sell.
A grocery shop, a café, a salon and a camera hire desk have almost nothing in common at the counter. UniPOS does not ask them to share a screen — it resolves what each one sees from what each one sells.
The four kinds of business UniPOS supports
Retail
Scan it, bill it, and know what is left on the shelf. Groceries, hardware, apparel, mobile shops, pharmacies and electronics — anywhere the queue moves faster than the paperwork.
Retail point of saleRestaurant
Tables, kitchen tickets, takeaway and delivery, with the guest count and the kitchen note where the steward expects them. Cafés, QSR, cloud kitchens, canteens and fine dining.
Restaurant point of saleService
Appointments, service jobs and the customer's history in front of you when they walk in. Salons, clinics, repair centres, tailors and studios.
Service point of saleRental
What is out, what is due back, what condition it came back in, and what happens to the deposit. Equipment, cameras, vehicles and event hire.
Rental point of saleHow it works
Your business type decides the software, not a salesperson.
When UniPOS is set up for you, it is told what kind of business you run and, if it matters, what kind within that — a bakery is not a cloud kitchen, a pharmacy is not a hardware shop.
From that, it switches on the capabilities that trade needs, uses that trade's words, and offers the order types and fields that trade actually fills in. A restaurant gets a menu, tables and a kitchen note. A hire desk gets assets, reservations and a deposit. Neither has to look at the other's screens.
The point is not customisation. It is that nobody has to configure their way out of software built for someone else's trade — and that the capabilities are part of the product rather than a list of add-ons with prices next to them.
Not on this list?
Most businesses fit one of the four, even when the name does not.
A printing shop bills like a service. A tiffin service bills like a kitchen. A tool library bills like a hire desk. If you are not sure which of the four describes you, describe your day to us instead and we will tell you honestly whether UniPOS fits — including when it does not.
